Reflecting the faces of our customers

Diversity

Every company will place an emphasis on diversity. But what does it mean to us? Well, if we’re to understand and meet the needs of our customers we need similar people, from similar backgrounds, within our business. So that means having people of all colours, all ages, all abilities and pretty much every definition of a family. Boil it all down to one sentence and basically we’re a company that welcomes and celebrates diversity of people, experiences and thought. Not because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes us better at what we do.

Diversity of People

Our customers represent a wide array of cultures, ethnic backgrounds, genders, ages, lifestyles, beliefs, and philosophies; a veritable rainbow of humanity, with almost as many colours as our ‘Better Binders’. This is reflected in our own people and that shared diversity deepens and enriches the relationships we have with our customers – whether they’re start-up businesses or Fortune 500 companies.

Diversity of Experiences

We value the wide range of perspectives, backgrounds and experiences that our people bring to the company. Their enthusiasm, ideas and expertise enable us to think more creatively as an organisation and give us the flexibility we need to adapt to changing market conditions.

Diversity of Thought

If everyone thought the same, life would be a bit boring. Thankfully our business is full of people with the ability to think outside the filing cabinet. And when they come up with a new idea, we’re all ears. After all, we’re constantly innovating our ‘Own-Brand’ product range, allowing us to focus on the best quality products at the best possible value for our customers.

Diversity of Suppliers

It would be impossible for us to source our huge range of products from one supplier. Instead we scour the world for new ideas and items we can offer our customers. When carrying out those searches, we make a point of looking out for suppliers that not only provide a great service but can also help us meet our diversity objectives. Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) are one such type of supplier. To help with the growth of these businesses in particular, and achieve a more diverse range of suppliers in general, we’ve even appointed a specific diversity director to manage and grow our Diversity Supplier Programme.
